The Sacraments are the manifestation of the Father’s tenderness and love towards each of us.

Baptism
We are so joyful to assist you and would be honored to provide this opportunity for you and your family. We hope it will be the beginning of many sacraments for your child here at St. Mary's. Sign-up below for an introductory email and follow-up from our baptismal coordinator.
Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church, and made sharers in her mission. "Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word” (CCC 1213).

First Reconciliation | First Communion
First reconciliation and first communion are two sacraments that many of us remember fondly. We hope to help make these sacraments of initiation ones that lead you closer to Christ and remember the love He has for you.
Having become a child of God clothed with the wedding garment, the child is admitted “to the marriage supper of the Lamb” and receives the food of the new life, the body and blood of Christ. (CCC1244)

Confirmation
Confirmation is usually the last sacrament our young adults receive before leaving home. They are sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit to go preach the Good News of Jesus Christ.
By the sacrament of Confirmation, the baptized are more perfectly bound to the Church and are enriched with a special strength of the Holy Spirit. Hence they are, as true witnesses of Christ, more strictly obliged to spread and defend the faith by word and deed. (CCC 1285)

Marriage
Congratulations on your upcoming marriage. We are excited to journey with you in this wonderful sacrament! Sign-up below for an introductory email and follow-up from our marriage coordinator.
The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.(CCC 1601)

Anointing of the Sick
If you or a loved one is in need of an emergency anointing of the sick please call the parish office at 507-376-6005.
By the sacred anointing of the sick and the prayer of the priests the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them. And indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ. (CCC 1499)

Holy Orders | Religious Life
Holy Orders and Religious life is a supernatural calling from God. If you are curious about it you can sign-up below for more information.
Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate. (CCC 1536)

OCIA - Becoming Catholic
No one is born Catholic. An unbaptized person may wish to explore becoming a Catholic. Every fall, a group of adults gather to begin that process. They meet regularly with lay leaders and a priest. The group (known as the Catechumenate) moves in stages or steps toward Lent and the Easter Vigil when Baptism is celebrated.
Someone baptized in a Christian church may now wish to be a Catholic. A group similar to the Catechumenate receives instruction, guidance, and support. Reception into the church usually also takes place at the Easter Vigil.
Baptized Catholics frequently discover they have yet to “become Catholic”: some who missed essential religious formation may now be eager to continue the growth that all Catholics should experience. Throughout the year, the parish offers series and sessions for such adults
